Tuesday Humdrum

Just to let you know I am still alive and moving!

Crocheting Christmas Gifts, knitting loom hats for charity, working often as a Teacher Assistant Sub (and getting requests to return).

My youngest sister Danna, had the weekend in the hospital with a blood clot in her lower right leg.
She’s home today, glad to take a shower, and still on blood-thinner drugs.  My phone bill will spread over about 3 pages, I would think.

The end of the semester, with Finals Week, looms at the University.
The guys in my house are um, reeling with anticipation.

Gotta Go.  Rudolph is On!

update 10:20pm
One of the girls asked me if I have my Christmas tree up yet.
When I told her that I don’t put up decorations until school is out, she said that’s too late!
In this case, ISU is done the 14th of December, and public school the 21st….still 4 whole days before the actual Birthday of celebration.

One year, the boys helped bring out the artificial tree on Christmas Eve and we put it away on New Year’s Eve, but I did have the manger scene up until the 6th of January for Epiphany.

I cain’t say that I am an actual Scrooge about holidays, but I sure don’t want to get caught up all over again in the ~~need for things~~ to help me stay happy.

What I’m more concerned about now is the shuffling of pictures and prints and the writing of the family newsletter.
I didn’t send any out last year, and I’ve been getting complaints ever since.  It is somewhat disconcerting to be sitting in 90o weather in July and have a sister get sassy about promises broken.

So, other than watching television specials and buying yarn in red-green-white colors, I’m not quite into the holiday season.

I sure hope the sun will still rise tomorrow.
Although the weatherman says snow flurries.

Nitey-night.  I’m at the high school tomorrow.  Hopefully no tutoring fraction problems in Math class.
