Kinda Busy Here….. Move Along

Bright and early Monday morning, I report to the Endoscopy Center to have a colonoscopy exam.
This is part of a routine physical, and covered by health insurance

the preps began a few days ago,
no aspirin or NSAIDS,
no vitamins with iron

Foods List says 2 days prior
nothing red or orange,
no seeds or nuts or skins or pulp

One day prior to appointment
At 6am begin diet of only Clear Liquids

At 3pm, I took 4 pills of a stool softener

At 5pm, Miralax mixed with half gallon Gatorade
Drink a glassful every 15 minutes until gone
Continue Clear Liquid Diet

At Midnight, nothing else by mouth

Husband says he has a book to study while in the Waiting Room

I’ll see ya on the other side of Monday

    I'm thinking that Dulcolax and Mirolax combination was actually developed as an instrument of the devil, and if it were used in a prison camp then there would be a criminal investigation.

  4. Just got off the phone with the person at the endoscopy center who is responsible for follow-up calls.
    She asked twice if I have returned to a regular diet, so that must be important.

    I am eating all the things I choose.

    All is well with the colon.
    Doc says 5 years until the next routine one.

    Now if I could just figure out why my left side still has a tender spot when I press on it, I would be more pleased. My anatomy book says that spot holds the ovary.

    I cannot get in to the girly parts doctor until August 7. I had an appointment scheduled right after the holiday, but it got moved to the end of the month, now moved again to the first Friday in August. If this keeps up, I might have to be off jobs during the first week of school.

    I wasn't allowed to drive yesterday, so I gotta go to the grocery store today. I want something with red meat, maybe a meatloaf.

  6. The best part other than the announcement that everything looked good, was the drugs. The doctor said, "Do you want the good drugs? I said, "Oh yes!" and that was all I remembered until I woke up.

    My best wishes for a good drug, a good rest, and a good prognosis.
