Having a Thursday Off

the ironing board has been in the living room for days

the towels are folded but need put away

the container holding items for re-cycling overflows

Maybe if I get these chores done this morning, I can have a little fun without feeling anxious.

The Needlework Group meets this afternoon.
I’ll have some time for hook and yarn.

the granny squares baby aphghan needs worked together

  1. Oh Dear Heart I have been there so many times I feel like I'm at home. Things need to be done true but at least you are neater than I around your job areas. You will be all under control shortly never fear. Enjoy your meeting!

  3. I know exactly what that cloth-covered table is to the right of the ironing board! That is a genuine cat bed in front of the window! wink

I have 2 cats myself and I knew what it was before I even saw the cat in the third picture.

I need to do quite a bit around here but I'm battling a sinus infection/bronchitis and right now the germs are prevailing.

Hope you enjoyed your day off, such as it was. ;o)

    Love and hugs,

    Diane

  4. The only time Halley gets anxious is when strange men traipse through the kitchen.

Right you are, L D J! the tray was carried home from a trash pile. I think its first life was as a serving tray holder for a waitress.

It has been a really fine day.
I got all the recycling done in one trip to the town bin, the towels are neatly arranged in the linen closet in the bathroom, and the ironing board is in its corner of the closet in the study.

Plus, the kitchen floor got swept, the throw rugs got a good shaking and airing out on the porch railing, and all the questionables got tossed from the fridge.

And Needlework Group was sweet---lotsa conversation and several lovely projects for show & tell.
One lady is crocheting a doily for her grandson's first apartment. I didn't ask if she has already spoken to him and got a request. I know my sons would never see the need for a doily on an end table.
Then again, we've had cats for so long, I don't see a reason to put out something else for them to pull apart.

Tomorrow is a TA Sub job at the largest Junior High school building. Much walking involved.

If I don't get 'round again, you all have a good weekend!
