Went to a yard sale today on my bicycle. I bought a piece of fabric 25¢ with a print of --My Little Pony-- to give to son for his friend who is definitely a fan. Also a cross-stitch of critters, artwork already in frame for $3, + a couple dishcloths and hand towels... as you can tell from the photo, the household really needs more of those

First I am delighted to see your post. I hope more are forthcoming. Next I think the letter included with the gift certainly makes it more special and was a great addition to it. Third I still marvel at the wonderful things your talented hands create. Thank you for sharing this experience with us. Also tell George I hope he is ( as we said as kids) more better!

As usual, this project is a beauty and sharing with the mother the process of the making of the blanket is very thoughtful and adds to the "specialness" (may not be a word), of the gift!

Jennifer's children are all knitters--right now none are working on a project, but they often are. I should make a point of showing them your project. They are usually here on Wednesdays. They do their homework as soon as they get to my house, and then they are free to play or help me with tasks. Recently it was picking up sticks in the back yard so I could mow. And they also like to mow, but so do I, but they have helped with the one mowing. Becka is only 8 and I don't have her do that, but Kelby and Elaina both get it done in record time--actually too fast to suit me. I'm not sure the mower cuts as well when they go too fast. But I try not to complain too much
Oops, I guess these comments are open to the public! :( Back to the blanket--bless you for all the kindnesses you do for others.

Hey I don't blame Oscar one bit. Huddle under warm cover seems to be the right decision but unfortunately you can't cook a dinner, work on a lap robe, or visit with friends from there. At least you are not alone on the the snow wading if that helps a little. Stay warm!!!!
