My head is processing the news that our girl kitty, Mahalia, has diabetes. She’s been taking thyroid medicine for a few months, but still getting more frail and losing weight, so I asked for an appointment today.
The Vet doctor seems optimistic that she can live a fine life with our help. He showed me how to give insulin shots, and how much food for each serving.
We go back next week to see if she is improving.
She is almost 15 years old, with a birthday in the summer.
Her brother is doing fine, actually is a bully to her too much.
We love our girl, and plan to take care of her as best we can.
