Merry Christmas 2005!

This Christmas morning.

This is what I see when I open the window beside my desk.

and now, a poem copied from IDEALS magazine
Volume 31, No. 6—November MCMLXXIV

A Christmas Prayer
by Robert Louis Stevenson

O God our Loving Father, help us
rightly to remember the birth of Jesus,
that we may share in the song of the
angels, the gladness of the shepherds
and the worship of the wise men.

Close the door of hate and open the
door of love all over the world.

Deliver us from evil by the blessing
that Christ brings, and teach us
to be merry with clear hearts.

May the Christmas morning make us happy
to be thy children and the Christmas
evening bring us to our beds with
grateful thoughts, forgiving and
forgiven, for Jesus’ sake.  Amen.

    Merry Christmas, Diane!
Thank you for the picture and the poem! We are
having a quiet Christmas here today. Our Kansas
family arrives tomorrow for lunch and then we all
pack up and go to our son’s place in Chicago
for our family Christmas celebration. We rotate each
Christmas. Last year they were here at our place.
We will be there three days.
Blessings to you in this Holy Season and in the
    New Year!
    Love, Evelyn
