Easter was celebrated quite nicely at our church services this morning. We even had commmunion. The singing was wonderful for both the Adult Choir and Junior choir.
For Fellowship Time, I put out a basket of chocolates next to the coffee pots, and they were received quite gratefully.
Here are a couple pictures of the decorations up at the front of the worship area.

The architecture is a plain brick wall, and the platform is made up of movable blocks covered with carpet, which can be shoved around for all sorts of interesting arrangements. The associate pastor did most of this layout.

The lilies are nicely artificial, a generous nod to those of us with allergies.

this is a lovely display!!! very artistic
you are a GOOD photographer……i am impressed
The use of the stones along with the plants gives a natural, appealing look to the display. You sure are good with that camera M’am.
The pictures are beautiful. Thanks for the heads up on the camera. I have one question: When you take the picture, is there a delay? A friend of mine has one with a delay, and when I take a picture with it, it dosent work…so I always turn the camera around to see if its on, and THEN it takes the picture! UGH!
Thanks!

Beautiful display. There is something wonderful about decorating a church for a holiday. I remember the thrill of decorating our chapel when I was in High School. It was an all girls’ Catholic boarding school and only seniors were allowed to help the nuns in this serious work. When I think about it, I remember lilacs…large bouquets that filled the chapel with the wonderful aroma of spring.
